Let someone help you on your Android phone

Tenvo Support is the Android app for the person being helped. Install it, read the number it shows to your helper, and tap Accept when they connect. They see your screen and, if you allow it, take control. You can end the session at any moment.

Who it is for

For the person on the receiving end

The helper signs in to their Tenvo account in the desktop app or the Tenvo controller app and connects to your device. This app is the other half: it lives on the phone or tablet that needs help.

You need a hand

A relative, a friend or your IT person sees your screen and walks you through a setting, an app or a problem, without you describing it over the phone.

Your team looks after devices

A phone or tablet used at a till, in a shop or in the field: the person holding it lets the operator in, and the operator fixes the problem from a desk.

Receive-only by design

The app can accept a connection but cannot start one. It has no field for a remote ID and no list of devices, so it cannot be used as a way into someone else's machine.

Setup

Three steps to a session

Nothing to sign in to on the phone. Install, start the service, share the number.

  1. Step 01

    Download and install

Download the APK from this page and open it. Android asks once to allow installs from your browser; that is the normal prompt for apps outside Google Play.

  2. Step 02

Start the service and allow access

Open Tenvo Support and tap Start Service. Allow screen capture when Android asks. To let the helper tap and type, switch on Input Control and enable Tenvo Support in Android's accessibility settings.

  3. Step 03

Read out the number, tap Accept

The app shows your device number. Give it to your helper. When they connect, a request appears on your screen: Accept lets them in, Dismiss turns them away.

Use cases

Where Tenvo Support helps

The shape is the same every time: someone holds the Android device, installs the app once and taps Accept when you connect. You connect from the Tenvo desktop app or the Tenvo controller app, signed in to your Tenvo account.

Family and friends

A parent cannot find a setting, or an app stopped working and they cannot say why. They read you the number shown in Tenvo Support and tap Accept, and you see their screen and talk them through it instead of guessing from a description over the phone.

Work phones and tablets

An employee's company phone or tablet misbehaves, in the office or out on the road. IT asks for the device number and connects from a desk; once the employee taps Accept, IT sees what they see and guides them to the fix, with no need to collect the device or trade screenshots.

Shops, cafés and pickup points

A phone or tablet at the counter or in the stockroom stops working and the staff on site cannot tell why. They start the service and tap Accept, and head office sees the screen and guides them through the fix, without sending anyone to the location.

Customers of your own app or service

A customer on Android says your app does not work, and their description does not help. Your support team asks them to install Tenvo Support, read out the number and tap Accept; the agent then watches the problem happen on the customer's own screen and tells them where to tap.

Permissions

What Android will ask for, and why

Android shows its own dialog for each of these, and you can take any of them back in the system settings.

Screen capture

Lets the helper see what is on your screen. On Android 14 and newer, Android asks again for every session.

Accessibility (Input Control)

Lets the helper tap and type on your behalf. Optional: without it the helper can watch but not touch. Only you can switch it on, in Android's settings.

Notifications

Shows the notification that the sharing service is running, so you can always see that it is on.

Run in background and on boot

Optional switches. They ask Android to exempt the app from battery optimization and to allow display over other apps, so the service keeps running and comes back after a restart. A helper still needs your Accept for every connection.

Install updates

While the app is open it looks for a newer version every six hours and asks Android to install it. Android shows its own install prompt; nothing installs silently.

You stay in control

Nothing happens without your tap

Support sessions are attended: a person is at the device and decides.

Every connection asks

Each request shows an Accept or Dismiss prompt on the device, and nothing is shared until you tap Accept.

End it any time

Tap Disconnect on the connection card, or Stop service to close every connection at once.

Share the number with people you trust

Anyone who knows your number can send a request, and only your tap lets them in. Still, give the number only to someone you asked for help, never to a caller who contacted you first.

Two apps

Support or controller: which one do you need?

They are separate apps with separate package names and can sit side by side on one phone.

Tenvo Support (this page)

For the person being helped

Install it on the phone or tablet that needs help. It shows your device number and lets an approved helper see and control this device. It cannot connect to anything.

Tenvo for Android

For the person helping

Install it on your own phone to control your computers from it: the screen, the keyboard, files. It does not share your phone's screen.

FAQ

Questions people ask

Do I need a Tenvo account to be helped?

No. The app has no sign-in. Install it, start the service and read your device number to the helper. The helper signs in to their own Tenvo account to connect.

Can someone watch my screen without me knowing?

No. Every connection asks for a tap on Accept on the phone, and Android asks for screen capture itself. While a session is open, the app shows it with a Disconnect button.

How do I stop a session?

Tap Disconnect on the connection card in the app. Stop service closes every connection at once and switches sharing off.

Can a helper connect while nobody is holding the phone?

Not in this release. Every connection needs a person at the device to tap Accept. The Start on Boot switch only brings the service back after a restart; it does not remove the tap.

Why is it an APK and not on Google Play?

Tenvo Support is distributed as a direct download from tenvoai.com, which is why Android asks once to allow installs from your browser. Take the file only from this page and compare its SHA-256 with the one listed above.

What can the helper do on my phone?

See your screen and, if you switched on Input Control, operate the device. They connect from the Tenvo desktop app or the Tenvo controller app, signed in to their account, and only after you accept.
