Tenvo minimizes on startup and disappears from the system tray
Tenvo runs a background service to stay reachable for incoming connections. If the window vanishes on launch and the tray icon is missing, follow these steps.
Step 1 — Kill all Tenvo processes
- Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
- On the Processes tab, find every entry named Tenvo or godesk.
- Right-click each one and select End task.
Step 2 — Fully exit Tenvo
If you can open the Tenvo window at all, quit it completely: right-click the Tenvo tray icon and choose Exit. On a machine that runs the Tenvo background service, also stop the Tenvo service in services.msc (see the "restart the Tenvo service" guide).
Closing the window with the X may leave the process running — use Task Manager (or the tray Exit) to make sure it has fully quit.
Step 3 — Restart Tenvo
Launch Tenvo from the Start menu or desktop shortcut. The window should now open normally.
Step 4 — If the problem persists
- Open Settings from the left sidebar.
- In Settings → Connection → Relay, turn off "Direct P2P when possible" (forces Tenvo through relay.tenvoai.com instead of attempting direct LAN paths that can stall the UI).
- Turn on Adaptive bitrate in Settings → Input & display.
- Restart Tenvo and check whether the window stays visible.
If the tray icon still does not appear, check that your antivirus or endpoint security software is not blocking Tenvo's service process. Adding Tenvo to the antivirus exclusion list usually resolves this.
