Text input on Android causes random characters or pastes old text

When controlling a remote computer from an Android device, you may notice previously typed characters or clipboard contents appearing unexpectedly.

Cause: This is a known issue with how some Android keyboard apps interact with the clipboard buffer during a remote session. It does not occur when connecting from a PC.

Workarounds:

  • Try a different keyboard app (e.g. switch from Gboard to SwiftKey or vice versa) — the bug is keyboard-specific.
  • Use Tenvo's built-in file clipboard (Ctrl+C on the remote, Ctrl+V in the Tenvo file manager) instead of the system clipboard for sensitive data.
  • Update Tenvo to the latest version; input handling improvements ship regularly.

If the issue persists, contact support and include your Android version and the keyboard app you are using — that helps narrow down the root cause.
