Certificate errors (certificate signature failure / verify failed)

Symptoms: errors like certificate verify failed (certificate signature failure) or RSA_padding_check_PKCS1_type_1 appear on connection.

Cause: usually a stale Tenvo service state or a system clock mismatch.

Steps:

  1. Correct the system date/time and time zone on the affected device.
  2. Restart the Tenvo service (see above).
  3. If an "Accept new certificate" button appears in the app, click it.
  4. If the error persists, click "Show certificate" in the error dialog, take a screenshot, and send it to support.
