File transfer or clipboard not working

If files or clipboard content are not passing through during a remote session, work through these steps in order.

1. Update Tenvo on both devices

Old versions can have file-transfer bugs that are already fixed. Download the latest release from tenvoai.com and install it on both the controlling and remote device, then retry.

2. Check the permissions on the remote device

On the device being controlled, open Tenvo Settings → Security and confirm Allow clipboard sync and Allow file transfer are turned on. Without them, clipboard and file features are blocked.

3. Reconnect or restart the session

Close the current session and reconnect. If you opened the session in control mode, try switching to File Transfer mode (see above) for a one-off file copy.

4. Restart the Tenvo process

If the issue persists after reconnecting:

Windows: open Task Manager, find Tenvo, right-click → End task, then relaunch Tenvo.

macOS: open Activity Monitor, find Tenvo, click the × button → Force Quit, then relaunch Tenvo.

Linux: run pkill godesk && godesk & in a terminal.

5. Check your antivirus or VPN

Some security software or VPN clients intercept clipboard data or block file-transfer traffic. Temporarily disable them to test; if that fixes the issue, add Tenvo to the allowlist.

If none of the steps above resolve the problem, contact support at tenvoai.com with your Tenvo version, operating system, and a short description of what you tried.
