Is port forwarding needed to transfer files?

No. Tenvo routes file transfer through the same managed relay (relay.tenvoai.com) used for remote control — no port forwarding or firewall changes are required. If both devices are on the same LAN, Tenvo will establish a direct (P2P) connection automatically, which is faster and does not count against the free daily relay quota.
