I get an "Unstable connection" warning — what does it mean?
This warning appears when packet loss or latency between the two devices is high enough to degrade the session.
Common causes and fixes:
- Relay path — if both devices are far from the Tenvo relay (
relay.tenvoai.comin Phoenix, AZ), latency will be higher. On a local network, ensure LAN-direct / P2P mode is active (no relay involved, so latency is minimal and connection time is unlimited). - VPN — a VPN can reroute traffic and increase round-trip time. Try pausing it.
- Wi-Fi vs. Ethernet — switch to a wired connection on either device if possible.
- Lower the image quality — open Advanced controls (the ⋯ button) in the session toolbar and reduce image quality, or turn on Adaptive bitrate in Settings → Input & display.
- Firewall/antivirus — add Tenvo to the exclusions list; deep-packet inspection can introduce latency.
Free plan usage note: the 2 h/day limit applies only to relay connection time. LAN-direct (P2P) connections are free and unlimited.
